Capitol Electric employs field crews
who are members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers,
Local 48. Each electrician completes an extensive Apprenticeship
and Journeyman Training Program at Metro Electrical Training Center,
and continues taking upgrading courses to stay up to date on the
latest technology and new code changes. Our people's skill and expertise

Darrell McNeel, President & CEO
Darrell is an industry leader with 28 years of experience in Electrical
Construction and Management. His Electrical Licensing includes a
State of Washington Administrator's License and an Oregon Supervisors
License. Over the last seventeen years Darrell has completed numerous
Electrical Design Build projects in the Oregon and Southwest Washington
areas. His project experience includes multi-level Office Buildings,
Medical Facilities, Manufacturing Plants, Commercial Retails Buildings,
Grocery Stores, Tilt-up flex space and many interior improvement
projects.
Richard Martin, Senior Vice President Capitol Electric
During Richard's 29 years of commitment to the Electrical Construction
Industry his involvement has been focused on the electrical design,
estimating, project management and installation aspects of the electrical
trade. His extensive background in the Electrical Construction Industry
includes supervisor licenses in Oregon and Washington, IBEW/NECA
apprenticeship certificate and continued electrical education certificates.
Ray Younger, Vice President Capitol Data & Communications
Over 25 years experience in the Telecommunications Industry. Ray's
background includes Sales, Operations, Management, Design, Project
Management, Estimating, and Customer relations. As a Telecommunications
Engineer and licensed Journeyman Limited Energy, certified in many
Cable solutions, Ray brings an in-depth knowledge of Fiber optics,
Copper, and Wireless for Data Transmission to any project.
Gary Steiert, Service Manager
With over 14 years experience in the electrical field, Gary knows
how to keep projects moving smoothly. His background includes four
years with Capitol Electric as the service manager and ten years
experience as a manufacturing plant engineer. Gary coordinates customer
service issues from answering questions and solving problems to
estimating projects and scheduling technicians.
Dan Wilson, Manager Fire & Life Safety
Dan is a skilled professional with over 26 years experience in the
electrical industry. His past experience ranges from supervising
complex communications systems installations to the installation
and troubleshooting of industrial process controls, commercial HVAC
controls, and fire/ life safety systems. Dan is responsible for
providing bid estimates, system design, submittal packages, coordination
with local jurisdictions, system final acceptance testing &
documentation, management of field personnel, technical guidance
and equipment purchasing. He holds General Journeyman licenses in
Oregon & Washington, NICET certification for fire alarm system
design and installation, manufacturers certifications for fire alarm
systems from Silent Knight and Fire Control Instruments.
John Uhl, Estimator & Project Manager
Sixteen years in the electrical and construction industry, John
knows what it takes to get projects done right. John's experience
includes supervision and scheduling of field crew, estimating and
project management. He has TRF estimating system certification,
IBEW/NECA Forman's certification, First aid/CPR training and is
a licensed general journeyman in both Washington and Oregon.
Jim Eddington, Estimator & Project Manager
Jim has been in the electrical industry for the past 20 years. Most
of that time has been in direct supervision of manpower and field
installations throughout the West Coast and Alaska. His experience
has involved private, state and government agencies in the safe and
successful completion of many projects in the electrical industry.
During the past six years Jim has focused on safety, estimating, project
management, design and building client relationships.
Steve LaHue, Estimator & Project Manager
Steve has 35 years experience in the electrical construction industry.
With 21 years in the field and 14 as an estimator/ project manager
he works closely with clients on electrical design build projects
of all types; everything from churches to warehouses.
